  1. The model is a sunrise systems NXTP7X962M/J1708. It’s a really old model and it’s likely you won’t be able to find one. Essentially, it takes in J1708 (RS485) communication. I used a series of converters to go from 30-pin ipod connector -> RS232 -> RS485 to talk to the sign. I just asked Sunrise systems inc. for their communication protocol documentation.
